Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer – Jay Martinez

jay martinezA graduate of the University of Colorado, Jay Martinez is the Founder and Chairman of Fortune Development Group. He started his career with the international company Morgan Stanley and was later recruited by Jacuzzi Brands, Inc. as National Sales Training Director. Martinez gained national recognition for his ability to dissect business opportunities and communicate them to a broad audience by developing the craft of marketing discovery programs over the past 10 years. He later joined automotive industry-leader DiamondLot.com as their Director of Marketing where he developed and executed their brand strategy nationwide leading them to becoming the second largest data/photo company in northern USA. In 2004, Martinez founded Fortune Development Group, a Holding company that provides management, seed capital and leadership in forward-thinking businesses. As of 2011, they have five business operating in six states. His entrepreneurial vision along with experience in two Fortune 100 companies has expanded Dealer Uplink’s platform to become a major competitor and innovator in the automotive industry.

Martinez has appeared several times as a motivational, trainer and key-note speaker in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Denver, New York, Florida, San Francisco, Chicago, Ontario, Texas and Newport Beach. As the featured key-note speaker in Atlantic City, NJ, he was approached by Donald Trump’s team to be part of a new NBC show, The Apprentice.

 

Co-Founder & President  – George J Lamelza III

George J Lamelza IIIGeorge J Lamelza III is universally known as an innovative Internet entrepreneur who since 1995 has successfully grown online brands with a focus on the convergence of technology and marketing. In 1997 Lamelza was the co-founder of web hosting giant Anet and after the successful growth in the 90s merged in 2000 with Team Media. He assumed the top post of Chief Executive Officer and continued to oversee the company’s growth until 2008 when he stepped down to pursue other ventures.

Lamelza continues to be on the forefront of marketing in the digital space and his consultative experience spans many industries and includes advertising, automotive, education, fashion, government, telecommunications, and cloud / web hosting. He has worked with companies such as Open Text, Ellucian, Google, Fremantle Media, Look Models, PGA, and Paramount.

Lamelza was inducted into the International Academy of the Visual Arts and has also been recognized by the Business Journal as one of Missouri’s top 40 under 40 young professionals. He is a frequent judge in various media venues including the Davey Awards, The Communicator Awards, and the Miss America pageants. His broad expertise provides continued results to companies seeking to position themselves with the next generation of digital media.

 

Co-Founder – James M. Burton

Fortune 500 executive with over 18 years of experience in the automotive and retail services industries, James brings a vast and tactical prospective to Dealer Uplink, as well as providing a viewpoint with effective solutions tailored to our clientele. His background includes executive level experience in multi-unit retail, automotive industry leadership, automotive auction solutions, executive level development, process design and improvement, associate engagement programs and much more.

James is a founding partner as well as the Founder, and President of The Ex Gratia Group, which includes an independent multi-state automotive group, consulting partnerships, a commercial insurance group, and ownership in multiple ancillary business units.  He thrives on the forefront of the automotive and retailing industry combining technology, client process improvement, and strategic planning to provide a “best in class” consumer experience. Prior to this position, James spent almost 15 years at the senior executive level with two Fortune 500 retailers, The Home Depot and CarMax Auto Superstores providing critical leadership and vision. Vice President of Operations – Tom Martinez

Tom Martinez JrTom Martinez is a Fortune 500 Executive who has held positions in two NYSE Corporations. As the former Director of Purchasing for Pulte Homes, Inc., the worlds largest home builder, Martinez earned International exposure for his negotiation tactics and budget strategies. His work yielded him the award of “Top-Gun” in purchasing in the construction and real-estate industry through Pulte’s national program. Martinez was later recruited by the Lordson Company, where he held the position of Senior VP of Operations, expanding his craft of strategic planning and senior leadership. Today, he works for First American Title, the world’s largest title insurance company where his focus is spent on the consumer side, giving him experience on both the Corporate and consumer industries.

 

 

 Regional Manager – Stephen Veal

A Veteran of the United States Air Force (USAF), Stephen Veal is an experienced manager of fast-moving technology. While serving with the USAF, he held the position of Forward Air Controller, where he coordinated tactical air-to-ground missions in support of Army ground units. These high-stress, fast paced abilities began to take form in the Corporate environment with a National Communications provider. While at Connect North America, Veal achieved Rookie of the Year which led to quick promotions. A manager of people, Stephen established a core team which was responsible for maintaining sales growth and support. He recently worked with Ticor Title as a National Business Developer where he was responsible for field sales as well as national management of accounts over the phone and via the internet. Veal brings his knowledge of technical sales and hands on sales experience and will retain the Florida markets for the company.

 

Regional Manager – Cory Bunger

As a District Sales Manager for Chrysler, Cory Bunger lead his territory to perform 191% more than the previous year. He grew up learning from his father, who owns a Ford, Lincoln, Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep superstore in SW Missouri. He started learning the art of relationships at a very early age as the business has afforded him top-tier knowledge while keeping true to the fundamental belief that the customer deserves more. More recently, as a liaison between Chrysler and automotive dealerships, he assisted and advised on areas of retail, customer satisfaction and corporate guidelines such as logistics, manufacturer restrictions and how to maximize incentives. Bunger brings experience in detailed sales forecasting, dealer allocation and maximum production for dealerships. His existing relationships with dealerships in Nebraska, Utah and Idaho will help spear-head the growth of the business.

 

National Training Manager – Danny Kountz

Tom Martinez JrDanny has worked as a field manager for Fortune Development Group, LLC and is part of their corporate training staff. His role extends into direct training with Automotive dealerships as well as other staff members, including General Manager, Internet Managers and more. He gained expertise in photography by working with the second largest company in the data and photo collection industry working with Automotive dealerships. His background with DLotAutos.com has provided him extensive experience in sticker printing, logistics and training on technical programs.

 

 

 

 Creative – Sam Hoover

Sam Hoover’s journey began at Herschend Family Entertainment, an Internationally known theme park company with 20 properties in 11 states. He lead the attractions team at Silver Dollar City in building creative reasons to come, stay and return to the theme parks. He was also the innovator of their interactive blog where his team developed the content for social media and affiliate marketing opportunities. Hoover was later recruited by internationally known speaker Joe White to be his creative writer for the Kanakuk Institute, and was soon after promoted to their Social Media Advisor where he focused on providing new experiences for kids and parents.

 

 

Graphics – RC

RC has been designing for the cycling and automotive industry for over 10 years. He is an expert in working directly with marketing executives and transferring their vision into reality. His ability to negotiate graphic design with marketing strategies has made him one of the most desirable designers in the industry.
